FAQ

Are there any health benefits that come from air duct cleaning?
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems have been shown to act as a collection source for a variety of contaminants that have the potential to affect health, such as mold, fungi, bacteria, and very small particles of dust. The removal of such contaminants from the HVAC system and home should be considered as one component in an overall plan to improve indoor air quality.

Will having a clean air conditioner reduce our home energy bills?
Research by the U.S. EPA has demonstrated that HVAC system cleaning may allow systems to run more efficiently by removing debris from sensitive mechanical components. Clean, efficient systems are less likely to break down, have a longer life span, and generally operate more effectively than dirty systems.

How often should residential HVAC systems be cleaned?
Frequency of cleaning depends on several factors, not the least of which is the preference of the home owner. Some of the things that may lead a home owner to consider more frequent cleaning include:

Smokers in the household
Pets that shed high amounts of hair and dander
Water contamination or damage to the home or HVAC system
Residents with allergies or asthma who might benefit from a reduction in the amount of indoor air pollutants in the home’s HVAC system
After home renovations or remodeling
Prior to occupancy of a new home

How safe are your cleaning and protection methods?
We use only the safest, most effective technology to assure not only your satisfaction, but your safety as well. We do not use any harsh chemicals nor will we leave any irritant residues.

How soon will I be able to walk on my carpet again?
Keep pets, children and regular traffic off the carpet for a period of six hours. Adults may use the carpet lightly immediately after cleaning by wearing socks or house slippers... Some carpets may still feel slightly damp for up to 18 hours depending on the carpet fiber type and soiling condition. This is normal and will not cause any problems.

I've heard it's best to put off having your carpet cleaned as long as possible, is this true?
No. In fact, many of the major carpet mills today recommend professional cleaning at least once per year. The build up of soil in your carpet in combination with foot traffic creates abrasion that breaks down your carpet's fibers. The higher the traffic in a given area, the more often the carpet will need cleaning. Professional cleaning does not replace the weekly maintenance that you, the householder has to undertake, but it is essential for the weekly maintenance to remain effective.
